MY THOUGHTS ON PACKAGING 

 

Packaging design has given me a way to express my ideas through various platforms. Be it adverts, labels, boxes, or branded materials of all different shapes and sizes. They offer a new platform to express your products identity and create something striking. I am a firm believer in creating my packaging designs with the perfect balance of blending in while being eye catching enough to stand out.

 

Take sauce packaging for example, people need to know it's a sauce, they need to know what type of sauce it is and the design needs to communicate that. However it also needs to grab our audiences attention at a glance and be more enticing than the subsequent products on that shelf. I am heavily inspired by studios such as Buddy creative in Exeter and Stranger & Stranger Design which are masters at conveying and translating an idea or theme through their clever implementation of design elements in packaging and labels.
